Pastelli is Appiani’s collection of full-body colored porcelain stoneware mosaic tiles: a system of colors, small modular formats, and textured surfaces designed for contemporary architecture. It combines Italian ceramic tradition, compositional freedom, and technical performance to create wall and floor coverings with a strong chromatic identity.

Made of full-body porcelain stoneware, Pastelli tiles are crafted from pigmented clays and earthen materials that are pressed throughout the body and enriched with natural dyes. Thanks to the exclusive Bioshield+ technology, the surface is stain-resistant, antibacterial, and antifungal, offering permanent protection that preserves its original appearance over time. Easy to clean and highly hygienic, they are ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, spas, and public spaces.

The collection is available in various modular sizes—1.2×1.2 cm, 1.2×3.75 cm, 2.5×2.5 cm, 2.5×2.8 cm, 5×5 cm, and 5×10 cm (mounted on a 30×30 cm mesh) – and in the 10×10 cm size, available both loose and on mesh, with a Flat or Texture finish. This versatility allows for customized layouts and tailor-made design solutions.

The Pastelli color palette consists of sixteen natural, desaturated shades: Snow, Anthracite, Ash, Oyster, Bone, Butter, Rope, Shell, Hazelnut, Honey, Sage, Stream, Moss, Teal, Ocean, and Aurora. These soft, sophisticated colors range from neutrals to earth tones, from desaturated greens to shades of water, enhancing light and creating harmonious, contemporary atmospheres.

With Pastelli, Appiani reimagines full-body ceramic mosaic as a design tool: from continuous surfaces to custom compositions, with sixteen colors, modular patterns, and finishes to choose from based on the intended use.

The color compositions shown are suggested combinations. You can customize the colors of the catalog layouts by choosing from the 16 Pastelli shades, or develop a custom layout using the available sizes. For new layouts, the composition template is created using 3D printing.
